This can lead to signal attenuation and loss of performance.<\/li><li>UPC (Ultra Physical Contact)&nbsp;connectors have a slightly convex polished end face. This type of connector has a lower ORL than PC connectors, which means that less light is reflected back towards the source. This results in better performance and signal integrity.<\/li>\n<li>APC (Angled Physical Contact)&nbsp;connectors have an 8-degree angled polished end face. This type of connector has the lowest ORL of all the fiber connectors, which means that the least amount of light is reflected back towards the source. This results in the best performance and signal integrity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>In addition to the polish type, there are also different physical connector designs. The most common fiber connector designs are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LC connectors&nbsp;are small and lightweight, making them ideal for use in high-density applications. They are also very easy to connect and disconnect.<\/li>\n<li>SC connectors&nbsp;are larger than LC connectors, but they are also more durable. They are a good choice for applications where frequent connection and disconnection is required.<\/li>\n<li>FC connectors&nbsp;are the oldest and most rugged fiber connector design. They are a good choice for applications where environmental conditions are harsh.<\/li>\n<li>ST connectors&nbsp;are similar to FC connectors, but they have a simpler design. They are a good choice for cost-sensitive applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The choice of fiber connector depends on the specific application requirements. For example, if connection density and available space are critical, then an LC connector should be used.
